A general practitioner by training, with a Master in Organization management and development, Dr. Bédard is interested in deployment of services that meet the performance requirements of health organizations.

  • 20 years of clinical experience - Primary care – emergency – intensive care.

  • 15 years of experience in medical administration - Member of the executive and president of the Council of Physicians, Dentists and Pharmacists (CPDP) at Pierre-Le Gardeur Hospital; CPDP representative on the Board of Directors; head of the department of general medicine; medical coordinator for managing the emergency department and hospital beds; director of professional and hospital services; director of medical affairs and organizational project development; member of the provincial consultation committee of directors of professional services.

  • Extensive experience in developing health care and services - Designed, planned and organized care and human and financial resources during organizational changes (transition from the old to the new Pierre-Le Gardeur Hospital); established the clinic intake (system for admitting outpatients presenting sub-acute clinical conditions); collaborated in setting up the family medicine unit and future family and teaching pavilion at the Sud de Lanaudière Health and Social Services Centre.
