  • Extensive high-level strategic expertise - Acting nursing director and program and quality director at a health and social services centre (CSSS); secretary general of the Quebec Order of Nurses (OIIQ), deputy secretary general and director of development and professional support (OIIQ); senior chairperson of the OIIQ–Quebec College of Physicians joint committee on the role of specialized nurse practitioners in Quebec.
  • Significant impact on the nursing profession in Quebec - Developed the role of nurse practitioner; created the first nursing specialty in Quebec (in neonatology); implemented the first provincial professional development program for nurses in Quebec; managed the project that reviewed the scope of nursing practice for the ministerial task force on health professionals.
  • Extensive skills in organizational change management - Updated new work organization methods for nursing, namely in the short-term clinical environment; developed a nursing skills profile in the clinical continuum in the fight against cancer in a hospital institution; created and implemented an approach to ensure private retirement homes in a CSSS area comply with standards.
  • •Detailed knowledge of the evolution of primary care services - Prepared a report on deploying the specialized nurse practitioner role in primary care, for the Minister of Health and Social Services; participated in the ministerial committee responsible for creating family medicine groups.
